weird day...

i woke up with a hangover because i dunno, drinking on a sunday night is so alluring. it's that last bit of weekend and you say to yourself " meh, monday is just practice for the real work youre going to do for the rest of the week".

i was a total bitch to my morning classes, but lightened up after lunch. reading 100 Years of Solitude, the fact that there were too many pickles on my chick fil a sandwich, and oh, one of my friends calling me and telling me she was filing for divorce, all those things made me feel kind of down.

yet in a way, i'm not surprised and am relieved that my friend is doing what's best for herself. i still can't imagine what it would be like to have to come to that realization.

opening up the door for 6th period to come in, the teacher next door pushed a flaming trash can out the door...eyes huge probably thinking " oh shit oh shit oh shit i'm so fired". ( wasn't his fault...some punk threw a match in it as he was walking out the door ). we all stood and looked at the flaming can for thirty seconds or so ( i admit to having a pyromaniac phase for like a summer when i was in middle school ). i knew that the bottle of ozarka on my desk would probably be enough to snuff it out. between that and spray bottle of water, we got it out. but yeah, let the end-of-year shenanigans begin. this is fun. :-/

a group a 6th period kids were talking about music...one was trying to explain the difference between punk and emo. an argument began. i told them they were both wrong and i became a god. i know what they are talking about therefore i am cool. our existances are validated.

that gave me an idea, i know i'm going to have a hard time getting control while i give them 3 days to work on a lengthy review packet. to get them to stay in their seats and somewhat quiet, i will bring my mp3 player and speakers. i have all sorts of music...rap, rock, whatever. i can dl more. if they talk too loud, they wont be able to hear the music. we'll see if it works.

yes mike, right now a perfect day would be eating whatever i want. my 'dopamine pleasure pathway' has a direct route from my mouth to my brain.

8 days left with kids
1 inservice left
